Unleashing American Drone Dominance

On June 6, 2025, President Donald Trump issued Executive Order 14307, titled "Unleashing American Drone Dominance," to accelerate the integration and commercialization of drones in the United States. This order mandates the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to expedite the development of rules for routine drone operations, including Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) capabilities, and to utilize artificial intelligence for streamlining application reviews. It establishes the Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing Pilot Program to advance the deployment of eVTOL aircraft and strengthens the domestic drone industry by prioritizing American-made drones and securing the supply chain. Additionally, the order promotes the export of U.S.-manufactured drones and supports their use in defense applications to ensure technological superiority.
